Example of Explanatory Text about the Chocolate Making Process
Have we ever wondered how do we get chocolate? Well this time we are going to enter the amazing world of chocolate so that we can understand exactly what we eat.
Chocolate starts a tree called the cacao tree. This tree grows in equatorial areas especially in places such as South America, Africa, and Indonesia. The cacao tree produces fruit the size of a small pine apple. Next to the fruit is a tree seed. These seeds are also known as coco seeds.
Furthermore, the seeds are fermented for about a week, dried in the sun. After that it is sent to the chocolate maker. The chocolate maker starts processing it by roasting the beans to bring out the flavor. Different beans from different places have different qualities and tastes. So they are often shortened and blended to produce a distinctive blend.
The next process is winnowing. The roasted cocoa beans are sown to remove the tips of the cocoa bean flesh from the shell. Then the seeds are blended. Seeds that have been blended are grounded to make them liquid. This liquid is called brown liquor. Bitter taste.
All beans contain a certain amount of fat and cocoa beans are no different. However, half-fat cocoa beans, donkey cocoa beans are ground from the liquid. This is pure bitter chocolate.
